Goodhub Eatery
Goodhub Eatery is a classic kiwi brunch spot on the Hibiscus Coast highway in Orewa. If you’re looking for a great dog friendly bistro just steps from the beach, this is your place. Food tastes fresh and homemade, and the service is quite average.

My Order
We went to Goodhub Eatery with some friends on a random Tuesday during 2.5 Auckland lockdown with very hungry tummies. The food was delicious and exactly what I was craving at the time. We brought our little pup Ollie and they were so accommodating and brought him a dog bowl and gave him lots of pets.
I had the bagel with smoked salmon and avocado and OMG the salmon was amazing and tasted so fresh. I was extra hungry, and I can never say no to honey mustard (yum!), so I also ordered their signature bere bere fries and I didn’t regret it in the slightest. I wish it came with an extra pottle of that honey mustard sauce, because I would have drenched the fries in it. The hubby got the beef burger and I had a bite (or two) and although messy, it was juicy and perfectly cooked. My friends both had the fried chicken burger, as per their usual, and of course I had to try a bite as well (research of course!). The chicken was tender and crispy at the same time, but if I were to choose between the beef and the chicken, I would go with the beef.
The service could definitely be improved. Although not very busy, our waters were only filled once (on request). This is a pet peeve of mine because I drink as much water as a camel, and need it refilled multiple times throughout the meal (especially if they have small glasses). My hubby also asked for a side of aioli for his fries (he can never have them without it) and they brought tomato sauce instead and completely forgot about the aioli (bummer…!)
Overall, I’d go back to this place for the great food, location, and because they are very dog friendly.
