Little Creatures is a local Hobsonville favourite just a ferry ride from the city. It’s located in a refurbished massive hanger, with indoor and outdoor seating. If you’re looking for a casual place to stop on a nice day for a beer and some nibbles, here’s your place.

Little Creatures is a place I like to go after hitting the local Hobsonville market for a cider and some lunch. I’ve been there a few times and it’s very hit or miss on the service. The few times that I’ve been there, the busier they are, the better service…which is really odd. It’s like they get lazy when they’re not super busy. The prices are quite steep but I think that’s because of the location and atmosphere. Last time we were there we got some items to share and they did not disappoint. I mean come on…beef fat fries, beef cheek sliders, and bacon mac and cheese…the dream! The sliders were my absolute favourite, but I wish there were more of them….I had to split it with the hubby, so only got one. They were spicy, smoky, tender, and so juicy…just looking at the photos are making me hungry. The mac and cheese was great too but you can’t really screw up mac and cheese.
Overall, I’d recommend going to Little Creatures on a sunny day to sit outside with your dog. Nothing beats a cold cider, good pub food, and dogs.
