OKO Dessert Kitchen
OKO Dessert Kitchen is a great place to go after dinner for a fancy dessert. They have Belgian waffles, plated desserts, cabinet desserts, and ice cream. All their desserts are done with finesse, technique, and flare. The service isn’t great because it takes a while to get your dessert (if you get a waffle or plated dessert), but it’s so delicious it makes up for it. The location is perfect! It’s downtown next to many lovely restaurants and close to a car park (if you go on a weekend to Civic Parking, it’s only $2 per hour). OKO is a great way to end a date night.

My Order
I went to OKO Dessert Kitchen on a double date night. Each couple ordered a waffle and a cabinet dessert. My favourite was definitely the Hazelnut S’mores waffle. All the components fit like a glove. I was a little disappointed by our berry chocolate mousse, but I think I ordered the wrong thing. It was vegan, and being a dairy lover myself, the coconut cream just didn’t do it for me. My friends got the feijoa mousse and if you like feijoa’s it was delicious! Although expensive for dessert, it’s definitely a treat especially for a date night. I would recommend getting a waffle and then one of the plated desserts instead of the cabinet desserts.
