We happened across Elisabeth’s on a double date night and I wasn’t prepared to have the best hot chocolate of my life. I decided to get the s’mores hot chocolate, and wow it truly tasted like sitting next to the fire and eating a chewy, chocolately s’more. The peppermint hot chocolate that my friend got was like drinking a girl scout thin mint; it completely took me back to my childhood. I wasn’t surprised by my husband’s choice of the triple chocolate brownie trifle, and it didn’t disappoint. He swapped the espresso shot for hot chocolate and it was an excellent choice. My other friend got the traditional coffee affogato and he said it just hit the spot right after dinner. I’m not a huge espresso fan, so it wouldn’t be my cup of tea, but this is the perfect dessert for an espresso lover.

I just love the cozy atmosphere of Elisabeth’s. It has a rustic cottage vibe and I think it’s actually in a converted old Victorian house. Don’t come with a large group of people, because this place is meant for couples or groups no more than four. We went up to the counter to place our order and our drinks and desserts came quickly. I would definitely recommend this spot to end a romantic date night.
