Hi.

Welcome to my restaurant review blog. I’m eating my way through Auckland one restaurant at a time…join me!

Wu & You

Wu & You was a great surprise! It’s a small Asian fusion restaurant in the heart of Mt Eden. The service was perfect; we got food recommendations from our waitress, our water was constantly filled, and our food came quickly, what more can you want? The food was very tasty with lots of variety. Whether you’re wanting a hardy meal with plenty of sides or just a quick bite, you’ll find everything you need here. A major plus is that they have a BOTTOMLESS brunch on the weekend for $49. Definitely need to try that out next time. I’d recommend Wu & You for a funky date spot or a girls night.

My Order

Wu & You was one of our First Table date nights and it didn’t disappoint. Go here on an empty stomach because you’ll want to order many things on the menu and want to share everything. We started with the fried chicken which was succulent with a kick (this was my husband’s favourite). Then I got the crab taco and the hubby got the pork belly bao. The Mr.Krab taco was something out of a mad scientist’s dream. Fried soft shell crab (shaped as a crab), in a sushi and avocado stuffed taco shell, who would have thought it would go together, but damn it was delicious! The pork bao was not as adventurous but the sweet and tangy sauce was incredible! Then we moved to the mains where we got the duck red curry and five spiced pork belly with a side of roti. The duck was so tender, cooked perfectly, and the Thai curry was traditional. The curry paired very well with the roti. The pork belly main was one of my favourites. The pork belly was cut in bite size pieces, fried, then lathered in an amazing glaze. We definitely got too much food for two people, but we took some home to have it for lunch. I don’t regret getting all that food, because it was delicious!
